A Post-Carbon Economy by 2040
We created the Davis Post Carbon Association (DPCA) to help the community work together to transition from a carbon-based economy to a post-carbon economy by 2040. “Post-carbon” means we are (1) sequestering more carbon than we are producing (carbon negative) and (2) designing our communities so that we generate our own resources, eliminate waste, and live in alignment with the needs of nature.
Our mission is to support the community through facilitating meetings, organizing educational programs, supporting projects, and fundraising for a transition to a post-carbon economy.
Consensus over hierarchy
Individual choice over social mandate
Pro-action over reaction
Continual improvement over perfection
Acceptance over alienation
